    OEM software can not legally be sold on it's own though. I agree with Connections, eBay ain't want it used to be.

    In 1998 I started out selling radar detectors on eBay and was making some good money. I typically made about $40 each on them. and sold several every week. Eventually, other people caught on to it and found my source (hotbuy4u.com). Once others found the source they were selling them and only making about $5 profit which makes it not worth doing anymore. So I moved on to computer items. I found a source for cheap PC items (pricewatch.com) and started selling motherboard/cpu combos. I was selling several of these and making $60-$80 each on these and then of course others found the same source and started selling them way too cheap.

    The point of this is that if you sell items like these there will always be some retard out there happy with making $5 per sale when he could be making $80 which eventually ruins your sales. So if you decide to sell items of this nature always be looking for more items, the retards will eventually ruin it for you and you'll have to move on to a new item.

    Here's something to consider doing;

    A few months back I attended a local liquidation sale, a big mortgage company went out of business and liquidated everything in the building. I went to this sale and bought a ton of good stuff. I made a KILLING on everything I bought. I bought about 50 printers for $20-40 each and sold them all within 1 week for $90 each. I bought 4 scanners for $30 each which all sold within a few days for $500-$600 each. I bought some sort of video editing card for $18 and sold it for $900. I bought several other items from the sale and cleaned up reaaally good. There's another sale coming up soon and you can bet your butt I'll be there. I would definitely advise keeping an eye out for liquidation sales in you area, it's easy money. Buy the items, clean them up if needed and present them well on ebay.

    Hopefully I've helped :)

    By the way, the 2 sites I mentioned in my long winded post above are good places to at least buy personal items at, excellent prices.

    According to ebay rules OEM software can be sold as long as a piece of compliant hardware (to make it OEM) is sold along with it.

    Yes, and in most cases that compliant hardware is a new PC.

    If other people finding the source is a problem, be the source! Most dropshippers and wholesalers also do business on eBay, so people thinks "If I can get product X on site Y cheaper than here, then I can sell it at a lower price and make a profit". I know that because I buy from a wholesaler that also sells at eBay.

    As an Example, I buy certain product for $3.5 Including shipping, customs and taxes. He´s selling the same item for $7.99 at ebay plus shipping.

    Selling anything vintage can make you a lot of money. How do you get vintage items? That's easy is you have access to thrift stores, yard sales, word of mouth to friends and family who want to get rid of old stuff, etc. You can literally buy something at Value Village for $6 and turn around and sell it on ebay for $30. It's best to do your homework on how to recognize authentic vintage when you see it. It's everywhere. In fact my girlfriend had a guy coaching her in ebay, he makes a comfortable living just by reselling vintage items on ebay.

    selling on ebay as a business or for a living is pretty tough because of one major factor which is Competition. It is almost impossible to beat your competition on ebay since you are competing against the whole world. If you buy even in bulk from a wholesaler and try to sell that on ebay well guess what that wholesaler that you bought something from is selling that item on ebay as well for the same price he sold it to you for which means he's your competition and you bought from him. You won't make any money.
