What to do with old website?

I'm not sure what forum is best for this so sorry if its not in the right one.
I have an ecommerce website with a domain name of 1 year 5 months (not keyword rich). The website was doing well and brought in good money and its rankings were doing well.
I focused my attention on my other business which was using my qualifications, so this one was not developed as I initially wanted.

I just can't put time into the other website now, so what would you do? I could just take the website down and wait for the domain to expire, try selling the domain (but its not kw rich so not many people would want it I think) or try sell the website.
As its not been accepting orders for many months selling it on an income ratio is pointless (I know I should have sold it when I was making a lot of money from it and working on the website!).
I'd like any opinions as its just 'there' at the moment.

You can do a few things, you can either sell it, give it away free, or give it to someone with a contract that you get 10% of their total earnings while in control of the site. :)

    Hi,

My company had a ecommerce website like yours, we sold it on flippa for $50k, but it has to be generating revenue, your website is worth twice it's monthly revenue.

Why not sell it and take what you can get? Another option is to let it sit and earn a passive income while you are working on your new venture. Maybe you can circle back to it after a period of time.

Congratulations on your success, well done!

Don't websites normally sell for around ten times monthly revenue?

You can do one of the following:
    - redirect to your newer site
    - sell the site
    - work on it, and build the search engine rankings - start earning money again

Well, if its not making much money since long time now, it would be hard to get the site up again with the same interest, especially for you. So my advice is to just sell it here or on any other auction site, so you get a decent amount of money for your site. Make sure you mention all the details, when you put your site for auction. If you dont wanna sell it, then outsource it with some kind of deal with the outsourcing company ;)
