iTrader means nothing, as you already found out.

It doesn't matter how many times you two have done business together in the past ... you get your money upfront. Business is business.

Although my work is in copywriting, I get 50% upfront even from the most well-known companies. At times it is 100%.

Business is business. Treat it as such.

You got a response from the buyer, the deal might be fine, and yet his personal address is sitting in your post and you can't remove it, and the mods are under no obligation to do so. Smart.

You could have posted his address in an image so you'd be able to delete it later. Even so, posting someone's address is just going too far unless you know for sure he's a bad guy.

Reputed members never have negative iTraders . Given how rarely - iTraders are given they should have served as a huge alarm bell .

Stop using the word "reputed member" so loosely. He was not a reputed member

You got burned from a member who was distrustful in the past. Lesson learned (hopefully).

True. Here is a member with more than a hundred positive iTraders who never bothered to reply in this thread where everybody was calling him a scammer. iTrader doesn't mean anything.

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1889473

I think you should have asked for the money in advance. You will probably get infractions for bumping and announcing somebody's email address here.

I think moderators should do something about such people who abuse the system. There must be a system to trace these fake bid makers who never reply when they win the auctions and those who just run away with the money.

    That sucks man...

Unfortunately the best move for you is to let it go and move on to the next paying client. I know that sucks but that's life.

Thanks for the heads up... I think you did the right thing. 7 Days is plenty enough time for him to at least respond.
