You have it backwards, Google copied Overture, which is now owned by Yahoo. The first person to get an idea isn't always the one to make money off of it. Was MySpace the first social networking site? Was YouTube the first video site?

That's just like asking how anyone makes money with Adsense.

    Traffic + Content + Well blended ads = $$$$$

Actually I think the first was a company called Sprinks...they sold text ads on About.com and perhaps still do. I'm pretty sure they were the first

Yes, that is true... but I wonder what the deal is... does he have a handful of sites? a thousand sites? What niches? ringtones? I wonder how long it will be before Shoemoney pops in and says something in this thread? lol

This is a common sense question.

His name he goes by is Shoemoney.

Doesnt take a genius to figure out he sells shoes to make money.

    Just found this...from this blog

Jeremy Shoemaker - $140,000 per month: If ever anyone can be considered an Internet marketing superstar, ShoeMoney would be near the top of the list. Jeremy Shoemaker is a search engine marketer who knows how to take advantage of both Google AdSense and AdWords. In the above photo, you see him with the biggest Google AdSense check he has ever received from Google. The income was earned back in the month of August 2005. Since then Mr. Shoemaker has moved to wire transfers. No doubt, he got tired to dealing with the bank tellers when trying to deposit $100K plus checks every month. Unlike the other Google whores on this list, ShoeMoney, as he likes to be call, does not own just one site. He makes his enormous Google checks using hundreds of sites and thousands of domains.

Disrespectful? No... just want to make more money. I'm making peanuts right now and am barely scraping by.

Hey, I'm not the one who released a picture of me holding an Adsense check in the amount of $132,994.97. Anyone should be curious as to exactly how he is doing this. If you're not curious, you certainly should be!

If I found his high paying sites, I wouldn't copy... but would likely make an enhanced version, spin-off, etc. A direct copy would be unethical... but I certainly would try to compete and take a piece of the pie.

Guys making serious money don't do it with "high paying sites" they do it with systems, of which sites are just a small part. I suspect he could publish a step by step cookbook of what he did and would still have little competition. Why?

Things change; what worked last month doesn't work any more

It takes work. Try managing registration, hosting, content, ad networks, creatives, etc. across 500 domains without good systems in place.

It takes more work. For his arbitage experiment he got certified by Google as an adwords expert.

It takes still more work. He developed a list of thousand(s) ? of targeted keywords.

It helps to have money. As I remember he was prepared to pay for $40,000 of adwords BEFORE he got paid by adsense :)

It helps to be REALLY bright too. I noticed when I was teaching school many years ago the kids who needed to cheat were to dumb to do it well.

Exactly..that was taken over a year ago, so you know he's probably making more...which is all the more reason to be curious.

I was just listening to his net income show and they featured a site that he thought very highly of... so it seems the recurring theory is that he simply has a huge amount of domains laid out in a similar fashion in many different niches. That would be my guess

why all the abuse? What's the big deal in trying to imitate success.
Some of us on this forum get a little too testy at times.

Shoemoney makes money because he doesn't sit around wondering how other people do it. He goes out there and comes up with something and starts working on it. The best learning is done via experience.

Yeah, I've been wondering the same thing... you would think everyone would want a piece of the shoemoney pie. Maybe they are all in the mafia and work for Shoemoney? :D
