    Guys i have started a question answer website.

    Just wanted to know if this is a good idea to make some money. I am just wondering if i should keep at it or not.

    Is this a good profitable business idea?

    It's not a bad idea, but you're in direct competition with Yahoo Answers and Answers.com

    You need it to be slightly more unique, like Quaro.

    1. The site isn't slow for me.

    2. I think a question answer site is a good idea, but only if done properly. I see your URL country code is for India, and from what I've read, the number of internet users in India is only going to grow in the years to come, so targeting that demographic might be a great idea. Personally, I don't live in the US and so I never use Yahoo Answers, as the answers there are too geared towards American society and ill-suited for me. (They do have different sections for countries outside the US, but they aren't that active, and the site remains mostly a 'US-oriented' site.)

    3. Your site needs a little proofreading if you want it to be taken seriously. (Under 'Tips on asking/answering Questions', Gillette is spelt as 'gullet'...)

    4. I'm not that crazy about the points system. Firstly, I'm not sure your business model is profitable with this points system in place. Secondly, if your users are motivated by financial incentives, your site might soon be filled with questions that aren't genuine and interesting.

    If it's what really you love then go for it. If that's what your heart desire...:). Their are lots of site out there like yours and they are very popular I guess it's profitable.

    It all depends on the popularity of your site. I would like to say do good SEO let traffic come in your site then only you can start earning money.

    Fast and quality answers. But you will always have a trust problem towards larger sites like Yahoo Answers.

    I would start small, in my community, add a section where people who know you can ask questions and you provide answers. Then hope to grow from there, by people being happy with your answers and then give the link to others of their friends.

    Yes sure you can do it Like if user searches for answers to a particular theme's related answers then you can show the google ads there related to those keywords for which user is searching and when some one clicks on any ad then you will be getting paid for that.
    SO use Google Adsense for it.
