Advertisement Cost?

Hi I'm looking to sell ad space on my forum.

I'm planning on selling a few 125 x 125 spots on my global header.

My site is brand new but I have traffic coming from an old site of mine.

The traffic each month is around 1000 visitors.

How much would you say is a fair price to start off with considering it's not a lot of traffic.

 

Depends to on your niche. For that I'd say something around $20-$50 is fair enough. For the exact price you might want to scout your competitor sites

 

This is a good suggestion at the end... why not email your competitors like you'd like to have a space to put your AD?

 

For 1k traffic / month 5$ maybe ... that's low traffic .....

With a bit of luck you can get 15-20 dollars per month.

Better try Adsense on it and see how much it makes per month, double it and ask for that.

I sell text ads, similar to Google AdWords ads, on a subscription basis for about $20 per month.

 

I would also say that 5$ and below that if the traffic is only 1000 visitors monthly.

 

Offer it for $5 per month but say the price will go up if traffic increases.

 

Guys, you need to be telling us how many page views you get? Ads normally work on a CPM basis - so a typical eCPM might be $5 per 1000 impressions. If you have a thousand visitors but only 1,500 page impressions - thats not great, but if you have a thousand visitors and 10,000 page impressions, thats much better - see?
