Gmail Users Beware of this Email

Hello,

This morning, I received an email as follows:

i asked some of my friends and they didn't receive any kind of email like this. So this could be from hacker / database creation team.

Be Aware of it.

Wow, I received email this morning too. Some of it was spam. Crazy man, crazy.

 

I had gotten one of those from yahoo. But when I googled it it did show up as a hacker. I deleted it.

 

Do you think it helps if everybody posts the random spam emails that they have received to DP?

Threads like this are more annoying than that actual spam I get. Especially when the same exact shit gets posted again and again because the OP was just too lazy. This thread is spam.

 

They are trying to steal information from you

Yeah, it is not just mail address but also password.

 

Definitely it's spam. And may be the reason of it is recent events from Chinese hackers who broke Gmail accounts in the US and Asia?

 

There are a lot of spam mails going around the net on a daily basis, we must be very careful.

 

I got one like that too saying I had a UPS package ready for me to pick up. Hackers are tricky little shits huh?!

 

This email is weak. First off Microsoft is not going to contact you saying "Dear member,". If they don't even know your first name you know it's a scam. I've had emails from Google etc and it's always like not LOL.

yes this type of emails i am also sometimes i get like "your email has selected 1st prize $10000 kindly send your info to this mail id "

 

This kind of email spam make me really pissed of,sometime lot of vigra and money scam bla bla

 

From the moment you receive an email from Google/Gmail or any Google service that comes from a "live.com" address, is a fake email.

Even though I would really say "Gmail Users, Beware of Google's Verification"

Some weeks ago I signed in my Gmail account and was sent to a page that said something about Google detecting "unusual activity" from it and because it was suspicious they asked me to verify ownership.

What was truly suspicious to me is such message, since the affected account is never used to email anyone, is only to receive notifications, but well, I tried to verify ownership and here is the BEWARE part of this story:

BEWARE: If you account is disable due to "suspicious" or "unusual" activity at Google's sole discretion, you will be asked for ownership verification.

BEWARE: Verification consists of receiving a code via text message sent to your cell, so if you have not set up one, you won't be able to verify this way.

BEWARE: If you set up a cell phone however, you may never receive that code if you live in other country than the USA. It might be Google is unable to send abroad or might be your local carriers not supporting whatever dialing Google is using.

BEWARE: You can verify otherwise filling in a nosense form to prove ownership. Youl will be asked with questions that you may no reply despite you are the legit owner such as:

Exact date when you opened the account: Figure out, I opened that account more than 6 years ago... who can remember exactly.

Exact date and time of your last access before you couldn't get through. Sometimes hard to remember with accuracy.

Name five frequently recipients, people you email to. Imposible to cite if you use the account to receive email, not to send.

Name five labels; absurd if you have not time to bother creating labels for your correspondence

And let me tell you that you can provide nearly close information, but if you don't provide ALL the information in exact form as it is asked, they don't care, and they don't listen because email from Google are so obvious, canned responses.

So jot down the date when you opened your Gmail account(s), email at least 5 people if you have too little or not destination emails, and create and write down five labels even if you don't use them, but before it's too late to gain access to your email.

 

I simply ignore this type of spam mail.

 

Hmm, spam..spam...spam. They're everywhere and worse thing is that, they also manage to trick the security of these email providers..

 

You should not give anyone your private information such as passwords, date of birth etc.
