1800 Hits from StumbleUpon

Hello Friends,

I've received 1800+ hits from stumbleupon in a day in past. I was surprised to see analytics stats. I know the power of facebook & twitter, Digg & Reddit but couldn't imagine such traffic from stumbleupon (not a huge traffic but unexpected).

I think, all we marketers should create a proper strategy for stumbleupon as we do for facebook & twitter.

What's your opinion/experience with stumbleupon?

 

For me I ahve never had such hits.I had peopel talk about stumbleupon being a silent huge traffic source.but i wonder how they do get huge traffic from there.

 

I've never had such results. And never thought it's possible.

 

StumbleUpon is fantastic for surfing the web. As far as marketing, it depends on what you are doing. I could see how a page could get 1,800 hits in a day from it. If people thumbs up the page, the likeliness of it being pinged again goes up exponentially.

The site I manage requires talking to people one on one & answering their questions, so it is not effective for it. However, depending on the nature of the site StumpleUpon may give great results. Either way I think it is always at least worth putting your site into their system.

 

That's good, If you try Reddit and delicious you will get lots of visitor there, Like StumbleUpon

 

just curious, what did you do? what's your topic about?

 

It's still a mystery for me how they bring such kind of traffic but I'm thinking to write on it. Will update once I'll publish that article.

 

Like other social network, after creating an account, I was active on it by adding friends & stumbling other posts.

Topic was dual sim mobile phones.

 

Stumbleupon is good as long as someone keeps liking your site. Also the visitors have very low attention span because of the stumble button they have. It can get you traffic but I really never found it too useful.
