Does God exist?

According to the Big Bang Theory, the Universe started from a single point, at that time there was no space and no time and no matter. There was a sudden explosion and massive amount of energy released. The energy started condensing to form electrons, protons and neutrons. Who told energy to condense into electrons, protons and neutrons, they acquired some values for strong, weak and electromagnetic forces which are confined inside every atom. If these values even slight different from what it is, than atoms would not have existed. The force of gravity, if it would have been even a slight higher, the matter would have collapsed to form a single black hole. If it would have been smaller, than matter would not form planets and stars. So who gave these values that formed this universe.
It is illogical to think that creation which did not existed created itself?

Now come to the miracles of this time. Quran is our holy book. It is sent for the guidance of mankind. It is not a book of science but the facts about the universe in this book have all proven to be true. The fact that universe started from a single point is in our religious book The Quran which was revealed 1400 years ago. It is further said that the Universe is expanding, science now proves that the universe is indeed expanding. It is in the Quran that we have seven protective layers above earth which have made the existence living beings possible. The process of birth of a human being from a sperm to a baby is described in the book , no one knew at that time. The role of mountains in stabilizing the crust of the earth is described in the book. I can carry on with the list of facts about the universe in the book.
Can this book be a work of a man who was not able to read or write?

Quran like bible is an old book that while repeats some old common sense, it is also full of BS the same way that bible is since people at time didn´t have today´s knowledge.
The book idefinitelylt a work of man and that is the reason he changes his mind in the book all the time to suit his own needs like God telling he should fu*k who ever he want and not deny his desire or on drinking Alcohol and forbidding it because being drunk doesn´t suit him.

 

Big Bang is just a theory, another speculation based on the fact that universe is expanding, We do not know how exactly the universe, in its current form, was created. But we are trying to find out. Scientists achieved some success in recreating the scenarios that occurred right the bug bang. They have also achieved some [little] success in solving out how life started out of no where on earth.

There are way too many anomalies in the universe to deem it perfect, bodies collide into each other all the time, many stars were never formed, they exist as enormous dust clouds, there is an extra-ordinary amount of randomness and imperfectness in the universe.

I'm glad that you brought this point. I had a discussion with 3 other Muslims claiming the same thing.. They all said how Quran has all the answers about the universe.. I was impressed, So I asked them some of the questions I had in my mind. I mean these questions are nothing for God and his book.. But alas, they failed to answer me miserably..
But you are a logical guy, aint you? (Although you conveniently steered clear of my straight "in your face" questions so far) so you must have these answers!! Even if you don't have these answers now, I give you 2 years, go and find the answers in Quran, I promise you, you provide me with factual answers, prove them with sufficient scientific backing and I will bite my tongue and convert to Islam.

So here they are:
what does Quran say about Magnet? Why Magnet behaves the way it does? Is there any other element that has the same magnetic property? If yes then what are these Elements and how to trigger Magnetic properties for them. If not then why not. .

What is the smallest particle of any elements?

How many elements are there in the universe? What are they? Whats their Atomic Mass?

How to cure HIV? Is an Effective HIV Vaccine Feasible? If yes, then How? If no, then Why not?

And no, "the God made it that way" is not the answer and nor is" only God knows", We are talking about facts and logic..

 

It is not the work of a man. He was not looking for personal fame.
He was known to be honest and trustworthy even among the non-believers. There was no second opinion about his trustworthiness. When Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) son died, on that day it was a solar eclipse. People of that time thought that it must be to mourn the death of his son, but prophet Muhammad (PBUH) told the believers that the solar eclipse is by the will of God it does not happen due to the death of any person. He also forbid people to make sculptures or pictures of him, because in the past people used to make the prophets there lords beside the one God, that is what happened to Jesus Christ (PBUH).

 

How do you know that Quran is not a work of a man? You are just speculating and believing in fairy tales, I have yet to see one single logical answer or a fact from you, mate.

Solar Eclipse is a will of god? We now know as a fact that its just moon's mere shadow on earth..

 

As I have already said that the Quran is not a book of science, its purpose is not to teach people the facts of each and every phenomenon in the universe, on the contrary it provokes us to think and ponder over his creations. Because God has given human beings enough intelligence to think and come up to a conclusion about these things by reasoning. Quran does not explain the process of creation, it describes the purpose of creation. Why are we here in this world, what is our purpose of life. These questions are bigger than life. And only God can tell us the answer to these questions because with logic alone, we can not come to a conclusion. The things we do in this life for worldly matter remain in this place but we have to depart.
When you buy a gadget, it comes with a manual that explains how to operate it. The Quran is also a manual for human beings, it explains how to live a life so that it benefits for the purpose we are created for.

 

The principles to which all the planets and starts adhere to is the principles set by God. So everything which is happening is by the will of God.

I'm sorry, but I'm confused now, are you saying that Quran doesn't have facts about universal phenomena? Then how come facts about universe in this book have been proven true at all?

 

Friend this thread is about the believe of existence of GOD. So please say do u believe or not, Don't post comments like that.

Anyways I strongly believe that ALLAH exists but don't know about GOD. As I am Muslim I only believe in ALLAH.

God most definitely does exist! He's awesome, gave me a better outlook on life, and also blessed me with an awesome vision to generate income when I lost my job in 2010.

 

Quran has not made the facts of the universe as the subject. The subject is to tell the humans the purpose of life and in that context, a few verses related to the universe are mention that reflect the greatness of God.

I would ask you for proof, but I already know - you believe that because it's written in an old book (and probably taught this since you were a young child).

This is kind of picky, but I highly disagree with the logic of the bolded statement. If you think about it, lets say someone is going around claiming they are some type of prophet or what not, and you don't believe what they say. Being a non-believer, you would think they are at the least misdirected and spreading falsehoods - certainly, you would not regard them as "honest and trustworthy." Obviously, if I believe someone is going around repeatedly preaching something that's not true, I wouldn't consider them "honest and trustworthy." It may be some weren't as outspoken in their opposition, as they may have been afraid of being murdered.

 

Half sentences make perfect sense, I just cut off your speculations.. Remember we are talking about pure facts and logic here..

And why not give me straight up answers for my questions? Why steer clear of them?

So you imply that there are facts about universe in Quran, right?
If there are facts about universe in Quran how come it doesn't have any fact for stuffs we don't already know?

Go and find then in Quran, and come back with answers

1) How do you know for a fact that God exists?
2) How do you know for a fact that universe was made by God?
3) How do you know for a fact that God can make anything out of nothing?
4) How do you know for a fact that Quran is written by God himself?
