    Being possessive has to do with being insecure.If you are insecure you have low self esteem and lack self confidence.If your partner is possessive or jealous then get out of the relationship now and don't look back.They will always want to control you and happiness in this kind of relationship is an impossiblity.

    I think it is okay when it is mild...but once it becomes out of control, then no.

    I have a boyfriend who I wouldn't say is possessive of me, but does get lonely/jealous when I am hanging out with someone else. This has definitely caused some resentment.
