Messages Being Blocked From Free Text Messaging Sites?

Sorry if this isn't really the correct forum for this to be in, but I'm not sure where else it would go....

I know a lot of people on here probably also run free, ad supported, text messaging sites. Well for the past few days I've been getting a lot of complaints that texts have stopped going through! I'm not sure what's going on but I *think* that these carriers have started blocking my site! I used to be able to send myself messages, but now they're not coming through either!

Has anyone else had this happen? WTF am I supposed to do now???

Maybe some carriers associated your site with spam or just too much activity and blocked the IP address for your site from being able to send SMS messages. Is the inability to send text messages to only a particular carrier or is it not working for any?

At first I thought it was just a single carrier, but now it looks like its all of them!

Just send text messages using this method. Use headers to set the rest of the stuff. They won't ban you if you do it this way.

    ##########@vtext.com
    ##########@tmomail.net
    ##########@messaging.sprintpcs.com
    ##########@vmobl.com
    ##########@cingularme.com
    ##########@messaging.nextel.com

Highly unlikely. There must be something wrong that you are missing.

How does this free messaging work?
Can you send free messages to all carrriers?
Why do the carriers allow this?

You don't need to bump your question 16 minutes later, have a little patience.

MMMM yes, pay the telco's more money. Great idea.
They rape their customers every single chance they get, including charging a fee each time an sms is sent. But lets pay them MORE money for a service that should be free.

I don't care either way, I called and had my SMS blocked off my phone so idiots would stop text messaging me. Text messaging is probably one of the biggest wastes of time I have ever seen in my life. I guess it's a high school thing, I dunno...
