Erm, no.
They aren't paid.
I think they should be for the amount of effort they put in, but it's Shawn's trainset.

I think it is more likely the nature in which you speak to, or about, people on the forum. Take this post I quoted above for example. You are accusing a mod of gender discrimination, which is an offensive accusation to most. But the accusation is based on what exactly? That you got an infraction and use a picture of a female for your avatar? Stay away from personal attacks and you should last a long time, if you choose to.

 

I'm getting infractions left and center.I went bonkers on the Politics and Religion forum,got mean.And I think I'm at 7 points now with 5 infractions.Made enemies and am disappointed in myself.I do leave 70 friends though. I'm sorry but took you off my friendship list because you can't be friends with a member who is about to get banned.Wouldn't look good you being a mod and all ha*ha!

You shouldn't just give up and go. You haven't been banned and there's still time to turn this around. It looks as though you're starting to do this with your apologies and with acknowledging what has happened, kudos to you for that, some wouldn't do that. I don't think you're all that bad, I remember when you first came to the forum, you offered encouragement to people, where "some others" would just call names and belittle the newbies or the ones asking questions. There is definitely good in you, just keep doing what you're doing to turn this around and it will be okay in the end.

They are infracting me for using foreign languages and I've got dozens of those posts out!

I don't know you but see several people are asking you to stay.
Many of us get infractions and be they fair or not (in our opinion) you have to "play" by the rules of the site '

It is not too late to turn this around

 

You're not being victimised, it's just how it works. When a mod notices you've broken a rule, or it's reported, they action that and then check through previous posts.

 

You don't deserve all the infractions you got. You've been nice in this forum (at least in this section, I don't visit p&r section). I don't want you to go.
