You know what the problem is with ministers like Al Sharpton and Farrakhan? They can be extremely hypocritical. They are trying to display this image of preaching for the rights of blacks to eliminate racism and all that but then they get up there and start bashing on white people. Everything is a racial issue! So much hate comes from them... I dont see how that is going to solve anything, honestly.

Who in this forum is supporting these people? You're acting like were throwing these names at you in defense. And who says people arent enraged? I'm not ok with black OR white leaders using hateful words and violence to prove their point. But obviously they all have supporters out there somewhere (hence why they are popular) and so does Al Sharpton. As Mia said, this isn't a pissing match to see who's more racist... and to add, who has more racist supporters. Obviously, these people believe in whatever the person is preaching about for whatever reason. That is THEIR issue, not ours. I'm not saying it's ok, i'm saying it is the way it is.

 

But look how many Americans still watches and believes in fox news, it's a huge percentage who believe everything those commentators say about Muslims and people with beards.

Bill O'Reilly said he wishes to lynch Obama's wife and people still enjoy his show and tune in. If farrakhan said he wanted to lynch Barbara Bush then would be scorn and outrage but with o'reily nobody in public will say a peep.
