So he can waste time browsing trough thousands of useless ideas ? I think he's already sick of that lol , crowd sourcing work only in certain cases like market research , when you need the opinion of the crow , for everything else it's useless .

 

I'd suggest setting up a contest to encourage people to come up with names. It has worked for me in the past.

I think you need startup mentor service which helps you find good product name and strategy to makert it properly..there are professional services available in the market but it depends how much you want to spend on it.

 

Well, Its not easy to name a product now a days. First of all its depend upon the country and customs you have.

Once you even decide what name you should choose, you have to research whether same name is already taken or not. You can not even name your product which resembles the existing product in market.

What I can suggest is to hire some professional who is also expert in legal conditions of your country , to provide you list of some good names.

Mostly you are getting good ideas here. I can appreciate you don't want to talk about the product yet. You didn't ask for a name, only how to go about getting one. Well, as you can see many are willing to give you their ideas if you tell them about the product.

But since so many domain names are taken these days, perhaps it would make sense to search available domain names and see if you can find one that will make a good product name? It will be frustrating to start picking names only to find most of them are not available or very expensive.
