    The one thing all the great religions of the world have in common is a belief in angels.They are in the quran,the bible,the epic of Gilgamesh of the Sumerians,the popal vuh of the Mayans etc.
    Some scholars believe that angels were ancient astronauts,and these winged cherubs visited our ancesters wanting earth's gold.This they claim is why angels appear in almost every ancient text and holy book....interesting theory but one that I question.
