Who is the best after Microsoft?

Every one knows that Microsoft is the king of soft wares. Do think anyone else is better then Microsoft with it's products.

 

yes microsoft is the best, but google is quietly building up its sector one by one by one and starting with the most important. I think slowly and steadily it will either make all or aquire big companies which are the best in their regions. like adobe, sun and all.

 

IBM and Oracle sell more software than Microsoft.

Apple. Apple's software blends seamlessly across all their platforms and software services. Microsoft has no such thing.

Yet, that is what they are working on doing with Windows 8.

 

Well isn't that cute. Little Microsoft is finally working on something everyone else has had for years and years. Unfortunately for them, no one uses a Windows phone and no one uses a Windows tablet. So, not only do they have no experience in these areas, they have no users.

 

But what they do have is the brand name and marketing power to become a big player in both markets. Since the majority of the OS is supposed to be the same on different platforms, as people upgrade to Windows 8 they will already have a good idea of how to use the tablet/phone OS.

 

Microsoft has little to no presence in the tablet or phone market. It is the outsider. Android and Apple are the brand names and market power. More people are moving to mobile and use the desktop less. It is more important to them how well their phone/tablet work together, not as much their PC. And Microsoft has almost no experience with that and hardly any users.

ArsTechnica, twice, went to phone stores where they found Windows phones in the back, not working and sales people not interested in selling them (cause no one was interested in seeing them). Do you even know where to find a Windows tablet?

Microsoft is years late to the market. Apple has far more cash than Microsoft to spend on this and has an excellent record of compatibility between devices.

 

well really not suprising but right behind microsoft google and apple stand with their software. slowly and slowly they will catch up to microsoft especially google i dont know really about apple

 

I think apple going to be a heart beat of the next generation.now a days every one like apple.It comes with full futures.

 

All Valid Points. However you can expect an increase in Microsoft Windows 7 devices and apps for 2012. It's really a App Developers paradise because it's not over saturated like Apple/Android is. There are App developers that are overnight successes because they simply took the time to Port their existing Apps to Windows App Market.

It's rather difficult to be #1 when you are following the trends and not being a pioneer.

 

And it's easy to be #1 when no one else is around.

I feel Apple and Adobe are way better than Microsoft.

However, nobody can beat Microsoft's productivity software such as Microsoft Office.

Considering the Software side, Microsoft rules them all..But regarding the mobile operating systems, google (android) n apple r far more than the windows mobile OS

 

What most of the children in this thread don't know is that Microsoft sells more operating system software and word processing software but little else. They aren't number one in any other category at all. And I'm not so sure about using sales figures as making someone "the best" in any category since operating systems are heavily populated by those which aren't even for sale, that is, they are free.

 

It is not possible for anyone to be after MS. MS is the worst there is and not possible to be even worse.

So, to simply answer your question, NO ONE.

Microsoft has NEVER been a pioneer. They have always STOLEN or BOUGHT other people's ideas. And naturally, you cannot steal or buy something that does not exist making it impossible to ever be #1.
