If you don't speak, read, or write Spanish your client will either need to provide all of the content or you'll need to hire a translator to create the content for you. Obviously the programming aspects of the site are not affected by the language of the content, so you could still design and build the site if the client is willing to provide all of the content. Does your client know that you don't speak Spanish?

There is also the difficulty of all the little titles of images/URLs and such should all be in spanish if that is what it is optimized for.

I don't know that it would be easy, but it could certainly be done. As mentioned above, your client would need to know enough about SEO to provide you with optimized URLs and image filenames. You could build the site for them, but you won't be able to make any claims about SEO/SERPs. Since you won't be writing and optimizing the content, and in fact won't even be able to read the content to see if it is optimized, you can't know how successful the site will be.

well, you actually need to communicate with your client, asking them to provide what you want for your job. if they cant provide the information such as content etc, you might need to hire a native spanish speaker (it will be better if s/he know some basic SEO)

I doubt it would work well if you don't know a word of Spanish.

    Hi!

I think wait for getting content from your client. if he/she does not provide you content then you should hire a language person.

    thanx

If he does provide with wathever he wants in the site in Spanish, then it should be fine, if not, I doubt you're the right guy for the task.
