Yep, but since I am smart priced with Google AdSense, I want a CPM program that pays much, or at least a good affiliate program that you trust, there is a lot around but feels like I want to follow you guys .
    no one is perfect ...

we can't recommend affiliate programs without know what the site's about.

you should try YPN if you live in the US.

the big CPM networks are tribalfusion, valueclick, casale, etc.

I would never ever poison my site with the generic and bland ads, especially since the market now has been blown out of the water.

Normally, you can't get more than a few cents per click...

I recommend using a more tactical and technological pleasing monetization method, such as offering a product or service at cost to your visitors.

I am currently writing an e-course about Web2.0 marketing. I cover this topic with confidence, and reveal some really intersting monetization strategies which I feel you could benefit from!

Drop me a PM for details

I get about 5000 visitors a day now, but when I was getting
4000 I was selling about $2M a year worth of products to them.

So maybe you should figure out what they want to buy!

In terms of finding an affiliate program that you can trust, I can speak for IncentaClick as an affiliate network. You can join them and find an appropriate affiliate program that your visitors might be interested in. They pay twice per month. There are other ones out there too, maybe you are already aware of them.

Converting your visitors is key. Do you currently have a mailing list sign up or some form to collect user information?

Very true! With that much Traffic you should be making PLENTY of money. But if you don't know how to make money off of that traffic - you must be getting some kind of info for now, right?

Also, someone else mentioned YPN -- I would definately look into YPN as it pays better than Adsense anyways.

    What is your Niche?

a mailing list would be great, referral programs will be better ...

all of the niches he mentioned are low paying, low converting, high traffic niches. I've worked in those industries as well.

unfortunately adsense, YPN, the occasional CPA offer and CPM ads are the best ways to monetize the traffic... and even then you still won't be making much, relative to the amount of traffic you have.

Catch your users attention and their email address somehow and then find a few solid programs for your niche and you should start making some kind of a difference pretty quickly.

    Have you checked out CommissionJunction.com?

Also, what about AdBrite or Bidvertiser?

As clenard said check out adbrite. Forget CJ. Sell text links. Join affiliate programs. For anime I use gkworld.com. They pay 10%
If you can use amazon do it. I make a good amount from them for games and anime stuff ($51 on the 6th from ffxii sales). At least a few bucks everday. I am at about 6-7% commission which is ok as they convert well.
    Check out valueclick.

If you cant use any affiliate programs then text links is your best bet. A site similar size to yours and revolves around the gaming industry (FF, anime) is getting about $20-$30 per link.

Adsense was doing awesome for me for a couple of years but recently it has dropped like a stone to pennies per click. Unfortunately YPN is doing pretty good for me but since you cant join then forget I said that.

PM me a link and I can probably help you a bit more.

    GL!

It would be interesting to know how much you were you were earning before being smartpriced. Perhaps, the cpc of keywords of your sites are generally low, anyway. Entertainment sites are known to have very low cpc, so maybe you are not smartpriced at all.

If you run a gaming site, give some of those email or zip only campaigns a try. They pay on CPA, but target your audience exactly. If you're game to push your surfers a little, try installing a once-per-day full page ad for one of these campaigns which give away game consoles. I bet you'd earn a ton.

We've got a bunch on MaxBounty if such interests you.

way back when, I used to be able to get 70 cents a click in some of these niches. the lowest it was for well over a year and a half was ~20 cents. now it's about 3 cents, on the same sites.

(I don't think that's all smartpricing, but I know it played a part in it.)
