There are as many gods as there are people believing in him/her/it/they. God is a matter of belief, principle, statement, philosophy and way of thinking/way of life. If I were God, I'll let my human creatures think for themselves and I won't mind if they only do think for themselves and not think of me. I gave them free will didn't I? So, what's the whole point of these guys debating violently about me, whether I'm a white-haired clown up in the sky pointing accusing fingers at people down below, or a silly turbanned old fogy encouraging people to condemn the infidels..

Yes. There is no doubt that God exists. No Proof needed. You cannot create anything which the almighty had created . Air, Sky, Blood- types, human being - with so much physical and mental complications and so many things to prove.

Atheism is simply a lack of belief in any God. It has no specific agenda and not all Atheists share the same ideas. Political motive is the other thing you mentioned and has nothing to do with belief or disbelief. People will often do what benefits themselves. I personally do believe that religion is poison to reason. I'd rather live a lifestyle where I pursue knowledge and discover things on my own as opposed to thinking I know the answer. No one does!
