I doubt microsoft will ever buy Facebook. Bill gates and Mark (the founder of facebook) will just be partners in their exclusive "Billionaires Club."

If Microsoft bought facebook you would probably have to start paying for an account there.

I don't think so, facebook need a lot of time to look after and time by time change to more update, Microsoft has already a lot of tasks they will surely get share but don't think they will go for acquiring. They have already acquired Skype.

This possibility is a stronger one than people think because Facebook and Microsoft have long had an alliance. Many people don’t realize it but Microsoft already apparently owns a small slice of Facebook. It bought an equity stake, a piece of Facebook back in 2007 when Facebook was just another uppity startup. Facebook and Microsoft also have an advertising alliance that apparently dates back to 2006. It is supposed to expire sometime this year.

I don't think so, they will surely avail its benefit via using from different ways but they will not prefer to buy it, because in that way they will have to fully concentrate on it.

And I might as well do my share of pushing it into infinity and beyond.

ANYTHING is for sale. That is ALWAYS true. It is just a question about how much money someone is willing to pay.

For the right amount of money, Facebook will be sold. For the right amount of money, Bill Gates would even sell his mother. For a lesser amount Bill Gates would even sell MS. Same goes for Zuckerberg or anyone else.

I personally don't think that Microsoft will attempt to buy Facebook. Someone mentioned that Microsoft already has a slice of Facebook and gleaning off of that stake may be enough of the pie for microsoft without it having to buy up the entire network or entity.

Wow! An intelligent post. On DP no less! That's a good point you bring up. Especially when FB's stock goes on sale shortly.
