Virus askthecrew.net -- does anyone know how to eradicate it?

    My Firefox 5-something browser got a redirection virus that keeps taking me to askthecrew.net (and other bogus sites) for search results.

    I replaced the browser with Firefox 10, I ran various recommended scan and virus removal programs online -- the ones that seemed legit and popular.

    I've cleared my cache, uninstalled questionable programs, etc.

    The browser is still getting redirected. Anyone have any ideas how to get rid of it?
