Annoying Captcha's

Not only do they keep the bots out, they also keep a lot of humans out.

I go through a lot of these each day, but the one I got last night was particularly challenging. I made a screen shot of it before I entered it. I was amazed that I got it correct.

Can anyone else get this one correct. 10 imaginary points to the first one to get it correct.

Captchas are pretty much a joke they keep out only the people that cannot decipher them it is best to go with a simple question.

I never pass them up. It's always a good brain exercise. I take my time to attempt to work out each letter.

Of course, this is one of the reasons why none of my real work gets done. (I wasted 20 minutes working this one out - doing a screen capture, editing the image, sharing it with my friends in email, composing this thread.)

And what if you yourself are wrong? I don't see any O in there.. And the last word is well connected so it should be M.

You should start an uprising. Tell the owner you're going to refuse to log in until he uses better login forms.

Captcha`s are a figment of the paranoiac mind of a person who thinks that every other person is some kind of threat to civilized behavior.

They come up with a concoction of letters and numbers, often blurred so nobody can read them and consider that those individuals who actually manage to unravel this mysterious and childish combination of hieroglyphics are God`s gift to human intelligence and can be trusted to be the epitome of purity on Planet Earth.

Good grief ! What ever stage have we arrived at, to pose some imbecilic test on people in order to prove they are human ? What a load of plonkers these mistrusting Captcha cretins are.

I am human and do not need some idiotic Captcha crap to prove it.

OK, I plead guilty in my previous post of scoffing and ridiculing the ever- present Captcha innovation, which is an inherent annoyance to all decent minded people, but we live in a world where a high proportion of humans are not decent minded and are out to take advantage of those who are. Many are out to simply cause damage and mischief to satisfy their perverted behavior.

Note :- A CAPTCHA is a means of automatically generating challenges which intend to:

    * Provide a problem easy enough for all humans to solve.
    * Prevent standard automated software from filling out a form

So, our software and systems enthusiasts are compelled to adopt such methods in order to restrict the possibility of contamination and damage being caused by the human vermin who delight in crime and mischief.

Nothing is perfect of course and the really skilled hacker will still get through, but at least the use of a Captcha perhaps cuts the risk down to a minimum, so that only humans and gifted monkeys pass the test.
