    Do not use Norton, they take up way too much of your computer resources no matter what computer you are running.
    Kaspersky offer good protection and use alot less recources then Norton.

    Avast is actually the best right now (it has not always been the case) if you want a free antivirus, if you are willing to pay then Kaspersky is the best out there

    Days of Norton are long over...McAfee does the trick for me although I've heard Avast is pretty good as well.

    I used to like AVG until they made a toolbar.

    Avast is definitely the way to go in regards to free Antivirus software. It doesn't get in the way, doesn't secretly block things without telling you like AVG does, and it won't minimize a game to ask if you want to allow it like Norton does.
