Social sites - do they bring you traffic?

Do they really bring good traffic? I am planning to send out Bulletin on mySpace. I had like to hear experiences of others who have taken this approach?

 

I know of a few people who get great traffic from it. I'm not a huge fan of it, as I don't think most of my niches work well with it. However, for some they are gold mines.

Social Sites basically bring BackLinks but traffic can't be much of a guarantee. Nevertheless, this can be very beneficial for some, as what briankoz said.

 

visitor from twitter will be very useful to build a brand, but if you expecting sales I don't think they convert well

Hi tried too many social sites and they are really helpful to get traffic, but the main issue is lead generation as all traffic is not helpful in generating leads. So try to get good traffic that helpful for you in generating lead.

 

Hello, I am little bit disagree what you have said. You have told that Social networks bring the backlinks but can't generate traffic. it is totally wrong, social network can bring the backlinks (if it's Social Bookmarkings specially) but it can bring the huge traffic to your niche, if promoted well. Stumbleupon, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, G+ etc etc are the major networking sites from where a site can get maximum number of traffic. On the other hand, I know that Yahoo Answer is not a social site as a whole, but if you can work on Yahoo answer, it will bring the ample number of traffic towards your site as well.

Ive tried generating lots of traffic from twitter before. I did manage to get lots of clicks but I am convinced that twitter is loaded with bots or something. I don't think half the clicks i got were even real.

 

I have had websites where up to 50% of the traffic is from social so I'd say yes.

 

I have a facebook page with about 142k likes and it does get me a lot of traffic every time I share a link. The amount of likes and comments each share of mine gets is pretty decent and can give you a fair idea of the traffic it generates. You can also try twitter. Gets some quality traffic too.

 

i have one dating sites but still i m not getting the traffic as i need... so what dating sites actually needs and what content it should have, so i easily can get the traffic?????? plzzz reply.......

dating sites... ummm... create a google plus page, a facebook page, twitter account, do some article marketing, guest posts on blogs, backlinking on foums, bookmarking sites, etc... After you are done with this you can go ahead and buy a few links for your site... do this for sometime... should work... all the best

 

yes,but not all sites. I have traffice from stumble, facebook and reddit.I have not get even single visit from some sites.

 

I strongly disagree, Social sites are not for getting backlinks but build a community and then branding yourself.

 

ya i got it..but i heard that the social networking sites like face book and twitter all that most Participates are teenagers only.. but i need a genuine traffic of real people looking for fun and entertainments and believe in relationship.... plzz suggest me some sites....i need it.....

 

Yes you can get quality traffic from Social sites. But you have to Target correct type of groups related to your site.
