    if more than 10 glasses you are not thirsty. but if less than 10 glasses you are not too thirsty .. which is important when you are thirsty you should drink!

    drink according to your needs that is when thirst or near thirsty. dont drink water for the sake of it over consumption of water can lead to a condition known as hyper something or rather google it. it basically dilutes all the salts in your body.
    Drink a glass when you wake up.

    Actually this is completely false. Thirst is not a good indicator for how much fluids you should be getting. You quench your thirst long before sufficient water intake has been reached.

    Water intoxication (hyponatremia) can lead to death, that is true, and that is the cause of most ecstasy related deaths, but it requires drinking a huge volume of water in a short period of time.

    When you're dancing in a hot environment under the influence of drugs, there is the potential of this happening (extremely rare however), but under normal circumstances, it's pretty much never going to happen.

    Since we're composed mostly of water, I'd say water is important for every function of the body. Skin, organs, glands, even bones and hair.

    What you need to remember is that water consumption is measured as total water from all sources. So if you have 3 cups of tea, and a whole lot of fresh fruit and veg in a day, you'll probably not need more than a glass or two of water.

    Generally though, more is better. (as with everything - in moderation)

    No one has mentioned that we need to drink living water versus dead chemical laden water -- So alot of good 8-10 glasses a day does to refurbish your water levels if you are drinking chemicals..
