    Hi guys,

I have a potential customer who has an online marketplace but has no idea on how to drive sign-ups.

Does anyone have experience in driving sign-ups to an online marketplace?

Any suggestion is more than welcome :)

    Thanks!

    Ferguson

What does your marketing plan say for building traffic?

People would sign-up because there's a benefit for them to do so. They can sell their products on the marketplace and pay a commission.

The problem is how to reach targeted audience (I would skip Adwords for now, too expensive).

How about building a strong Twitter account and get followers? Do you think this would be enough?

So the problem is Traffic -

If you have traffic you can wave the " I can get you sales flag"

If you don't have traffic, you need to use there "name" and "network" to bring the traffic. - Buy them to your website

Without knowing your marketplace, I am going to say.. what makes yours better? what is your USP - Unique selling proposition?

A social media presence is needed for your business, how you use social media is another question.

You need a marketing plan, like any other business.

Yep, you're right. A good marketing plan is needed. I drafted a plan, but would like to get some insight on specific issues to finalise it (e.g. White SEO and Affiliate Sales).

Do you know any skilled online marketing consultant who can help? Or perhaps you are one?
