    I believe there is a script that can actually change the appearance of what is in the address bar and make it say "paypal.com". If you ever are doing business on Paypal or eBay, just go directly to the site in a new window, don't go off those anchor links.

    I may not have come across such scripts, but that's possible. Anytime when you need to make payment, always access the Paypal website personally.

    I am from India and I too have received fraud paypal emails asking me to login into my own paypal account for verification.But you can easily track such fraud emails because they dont address you with your name but they address you as Dear Paypal member.Dont trust such emails.Dont even try to click any of their links.

    I recently had some use that exact address when trying to sell a domain, but with a period after the com, which was very hard to spot. It looked like this:

    paypal.com./

    All the validations from this scammer (emails, invoices, ppal headings, etc) looked real, but it was all fake of course. Watch out for the scammers indeed, just have to be on your toes.

    Also, watch out for bad grammar - a dead giveaway.

    Not just that one, there are hundreds of fraudulent sites exists in this planet. All we can do is making sure that the site is being encrypted or not (you can check the green mark in the browser address bar with the "https" rather than "http").
