AWeber or MailChimp?

Discussion in 'General Business' started by StocksonWallStreet.net, May 11, 2012.

So I've used AWeber before & had just a minor confusion between both parties so I originally cancelled my account however I now need an email marketing software & considering the option of either MailChimp or AWeber for high volume email marketing for my company StocksonWallStreet dot com. Would you suggest to just go back to AWeber & pay the fees or switch to MailChimp?

IF you are doing high volume go with Aweber.. They have better tracking information and delivery.

I agree with this statement. Granted, I'm partial to Aweber and use it myself, but for the brief amount of information you've given I think it would be a better option than MailChimp. If you could give us a little more context people could probably make some more definitive statements with recommendations.

I use AWeber also, used mailchimp for some time then cancelled. Frankly it's kinda expensive, $30/month for a small list under 2k emails that I rarely even use.

If you are running a business then AWeber is probably the best way to go.

If you are experimenting then you could try a free service such as listwire to start list building
When you have enough people on that list may be a good time to start paying Aweber $20 a month.
Although you won't be able to import contacts - you can at least get responsive people to sign up to a new offer on your Aweeber list.

I checked around, but it looks like they are all priced similarly, so aweber is probably the way to go, unless you can find a considerably cheaper way

Although it includes some cost or even at a good rate,I still think aweber is the industry best marketing software.

MailChimp is fine but they don't allow any affiliate marketing campaigns in their system, especially with their free service. In case you don't like Aweber then go for constant contact instead which is a great alternative.

    Good luck on your search!

As far as I can tell go for MailChimp to start with but if you have large list's aweber should be your choice

Ya I wasn't a fan of Mail Chimp when I first signed up as it just seemed too complicated and everything so I just signed up for AWeber again as the service is easy to use.

I don't like Awebers new interface. I use GetResponse now and they are just as good. Free for 30 days too!

I believe you already get to use with aweber interface what you are refuse to change .
If you wish to change , you can try up mailchimp for free account and try then only decide. If you feel that you still love with aweber interface , then you should go with paid .
While their both service is alike the same.

Aweber is by far the easiest and overall best I've tried, it may not be the cheapest but it's worth it... and I've tried Mailchimp, GetResponse & Aweber.
