It highly depends on how you spend the money. Different people have different spend although they are from same country

It also depends on where you live within a country. I live in Romania in a city with 160K inhabitants. It's in the Western part. Larger cities are more expensive. If we are talking about my city, it's about 100 euros for a decent rent and another 150 euros for bills and living. Beer and cigarettes are cheap so parties are included. So with 250 you can live but I say 350 euros for more comfort.

In Budapest (Hungary), where I have also lived, you need 200 euros just for rent. So it would cost over 500-600 euros with clothes and parties and so is Riga (Latvia). I lived as an exchange student in Riga with almost 600 euros and this wasn't really enough. The rent wasn't that expensive, about 130 euros. But food that is imported from warmer countries (Spain for example) costs a lot. You need 850 in Riga if you really want to live well but I spent 500 a month and still had a good time, went to the gym and so on. It all depends on searching. There are stores where you can buy cheap food in bulk, so instead of buying 250 grams of cereal, you buy 2 kilograms of the same stuff and you save a lot of money.

And if you have a girlfriend, cost can double, triple and so on :p

Yes, I agree with guy. In India you should have at least 20000 to 25000 monthly earning to spend own self to live better as a bachelor.
