Do you have a knack for writing? Do you have an interest in geek topics such as technology, gadgets, science, or science fiction? Want to make some extra money? If that’s you, read on.

We are looking for original and quality written content for the Geekport website that is naturally written and not simply targeting keywords in Google. The article should be free of keyword spam, written for real people and not search engines, and not be copied from anywhere. Payment will be made by allowing you to place your Google Adsense code into the article. You submit your article to Geekport, along with any accompanying pictures, any links to videos or other sites, as well as your Adsense code and we’ll post the article. One quality written article with sufficient traffic could reap you a windfall.

Your Adsense code will remain in the article for a period of one year. The better your article, the more potential for better earnings. We reserve the right to edit the article as needed for any grammar and syntax. After submission, Geekport will own the article outright and forever. If you are a good author and your word count is consistently in the 500 word and up range, we may supply you with a login to the website to make it easier for you to post.

Your Adsense ad can be of the large block type, picture, text or both, and will appear in a hot spot after the Title but also after a few sentences as to not interfere with home page excerpts.

Posts must meet all Google Adsense rules such as no naughty pics, nothing illegal, no gambling, no copied content etc.. Just good quality work. Geekport checks all submissions against Internet copyright engines for originality. Additionally, when your article is posted to the blog, it is imperative that you do not click your own Adsense ads, Google will ban your account since your ad code contains your account number. Google is very sophisticated where click fraud is concerned. We cannot be responsible for Google closing your account due to misuse.

You must already have a Google Adsense account setup with Google in order to participate.

What is the site? How much traffic is it getting? Do you have any proof of adsense earnings from articles on this site?

    The website is www.geekport.com

The site is only 3 weeks old so it is new, the traffic is a little bursty right now, when readers dig an article or tweet it, traffic can jump to 300 per day, but average is about 100-150 per day and I work on it daily. Clearly there is a risk to you as a writer to give up one of your good articles for the site, but I think it will be worth it. The average adsense click is about $2. I can't make you any promises but I can tell you that we have 2 writers plus myself with an inventory of content to be released daily. I would rather have a few regular releases daily than a bunch of releases all scattered around. Please do have a look at the site, I think you will like the content and get a feel for the type of site it will be.

Further, there is no guarantee we will use your work, we will be just as curious about you as you are about us. So we have to really like each other. But if we do and the site takes off like I hope it will, you will be there from the start when we are turning others away.

Now that shows some promise, seeing that you are spending money on contests shows that there will be good traffic. I will be seriously considering this and think I will sign up. Is it possible to get contextual links in the content at times?

No links at this time but it is under consideration. We don't want to spam up the site right off the bat while it is new.

You don't want to spam for the site at all, ever, it will get you blacklisted and get your target audience hating you, maybe even flaming you and your site.
Use good quality marketing practices. Let me know if you need assistance with that.

    Interested. Sample below

    Yosemite National Park

Thinking about taking a trip to one of the many great national parks that dot the landscapes of California? If you’re serious about experiencing the true beauty and wonder what this state has to offer, why not visit the one that started it all?

Although not technically the first park to hit the books as far as history is concerned, Yosemite is widely credited with being a major step towards significance for a young and unorganized National Parks Service back in the 1800’s. The sheer beauty of its massive peaks and deep valleys struck a chord with politicians and poets alike, and after watching the damage that the mining industry had caused to local rivers and wildlife, they decided it was something worth protecting. Post-Civil War troops were commissioned to stand guard over gold-rich areas, and ever since then the region has been able to maintain both its natural state of wonder, and never-ending sense of adventure for all travelers and tourists to enjoy long into the future.

So whether you’re a pioneer looking for their next great frontier or just a person who wants to bring their family out to some of the best camping sites the West Coast has to offer, Yosemite National Park welcomes you with open gates throughout all seasons of the year.
