    I need to do some anonymous surfing and i was wondering if anyone uses a free software that can do this
    Its important...
    I try to use google, but its killing me
    All i seem to find are 3 day trials

    If you use mozilla firefox, you can also use add-ons which hide your real IP.

    One I found just now is - anonymoX

    Where did you get that conclusion from ? Hidemyass is absolutely free on my computer, I use it all the time when I wish to be sneaky on certain URL`s - just tried it, no problems.

    The idea of hiding your IP is not solved by using a URL dependent program, a program that hides your IP all the time on every browser search is needed and still works when you select a site. Dependence on pasting a URL into a box is a waste of time.

    The web is stuffed full of IP Hide questions, solutions and a myriad of programs that do it - HUH ! None of them are any good in terms of search freedom and site selections.

    There are complex solutions available, but they are VERY complicated and not for the novice. i have gone through all this many times and would suggest you forget it.

    Next best thing is to use Sandboxie (it is free), then even if somebody grabs your precious IP - who cares ? Any return response cannot leave the sandbox and is deleted when you close your browser. Also if you spot any creepy crawlies, then put them on your browser Blacklist and black them on any other security program you have.

    I think too much thought about hiding our IP can lead to personal Paranoia and unnecessary obsession. I have seen it happen many times during my PC Forum activities. Walk away from it.
