How the Penguin Update has effected your business?

So now after a while people can measure the hit take when Google launched their Penguin update.

So I want to know and ask how its effected your business in general and how you managed
to survive if you managed.

I think it didnt change this much. Just do organic stuff, and dont spam blast link to your sites, and you should be fine

long term: get good content, and viral strategies, engange visitors

It hasn't affected me too greatly. Then again, though, I wasn't getting ranked all that high before the change.

 

I think many of small companies and freelancers has been affected greatly - they have no analytic tools and can't fight against Penguin

 

I've had to work harder at SEO and try some new methods of Internet marketing. When things change, you need to adjust.

 

How is that? There are many free analytics tools, including Google Analytics.

Don't spam and no problem with Penguin, really.

In contrast to danasurvey, I've had to work a bit less hard at SEO (good content seems to be ranking much more easily now) and focus more with "on site".

Things are, in a way, the same as before. Google's Webmaster Guidelines existed before and they are just more heavily enforced. Given all the spamming that goes on, it's not a surprise, really, that they had to finally do something about it.

 

In a general sense, keep yourself safe from Penguin and others algorithm changes that might follow by really trying to build an online presence that is directed at your target audience and the niches they occupy. At the same time you should honestly be trying to create naturally written, subject relevant and engaging content for all your website copy. These are the kinds of things any legitimate online business should be doing anyways.

 

We should avoid content spamming means avoid to put duplicated or senseless data in the sites.Always put authentic and relevant content on your website

 

According to me it is useful for Seo because now webmaster can use only quality SEO technique.

Make sure all you backlinks do build in white SEO ,
No spaming and autobot backlinks and make sure all backlinks build from those site which do not using black SEO as well.
no duplicate content in your website and make sure it unique.
