I'm planning to share a case-study of my client's site to a LinkedIn group... so is this direct promotion of website or helping the community as per group guidelines?

And where I can share that page?

In promotions or in discussions? Please help me.

I think sharing a related information is fine... if it helps contributors to gain some extra knowledge out of it.

Case studies are shared on Linked in communities all the time. That’s their purpose: to help users understand how to solve some issues and to discuss about it. Also, I think that if your case study is really good, you could share it in discussions and in promotions too. I am sure you want to generate some talks about it and I think you surely want as much people as possible to read it. Good luck!;)

Case study is always welcome by LinkedIn.It depends on how you write case study. No need of direct promotion.I think posting you case study in discussion section is much better.
