Hi, I am new here and wasn't sure where to post this question?!

What do you call those funny looking square image things that you take a picture with a cell-phone and they take you to a website (I think)??

    Thanks,

    Debbie

    Thanks for the link.

What would I need to do to create a QR Code so people can scan it with their Smart-Phone and be taken to my website?

Also, is it true that you have to pay for such a feature?

    Thanks,

    Debbie

You don't need to pay to create a QR code. Google "QR code generator" and you will get many sites that can make them for you. This website has a pretty simple interface: qrstuff.com

Someone at work on Friday told me that if you use one of the free online generators that the QR Code will expire?? (And that I'd have to pay to get a "permanent" one??)

    Anyone know anything about that?

    Thanks,

    Debbie

You can use Google Charts (it's free) to generate QR codes:
