    of course Google can do it for themselves :)

    During the first weeks it was even possible for everyone to set their own URL, but they have removed this feature for some reason since.

    There are some G+ urls shorteners but afaik Google has not introduced such possibility by themselves.

    I have tried for myself lots of time but failed and failed. After I read out your thread post, I tried again but couldn't. I think there's no option right now assigned by google for it's users. Let's wait for the time when google gives us the change to change the url of our google plus profile like facebook.
