I am going to launch an eCommerce site shortly. I need to know the best marketing strategies for my website using Social Media.

I need to get more traffic to my eCommerce website. I want to know whether social media is the only way to achieve this or is there any other way?

Now a days marketing an ecommerce website is simple and easy for marketer and webmasters.Now there a lots of tools available on the net to make all possible.I own a website that selling all types products and i personally use twuitter, youtube, facebook, linkedin and now pinterst to market my website and gain more targeted traffic and leads to my site and gain more sales.

capitalmind is right. Get where potential buyers are. For example : on pinterest fashion and health products works well because it is mostly visited by womens.

 

Google your keywords.

Find the sites that are similar to yours, contact them about link exchanges, or try leaving a comment or two on there sites. DO NOT SPAM though.. you don't want to get off to bad start reputation wise.

Build back links by doing this.

Build your profile on Social media by updating your status / tweeting etc on each point as you go along. Keep followers and friends updated with things as they go along, without forcing the goods / services down there throats.

Use Forums etc also. Ask questions to get feedback, and provide answers to questions also, look to get some link exchanges too. Get a link in your signature.

Make sure you have Google Analytics on your site too, its SOOO important to understand where your traffic is coming from, so you know what process is working and what isnt.

Ecommerce sites are all the time hard to work and these sites have a lot of competition and I individually recommend you if you want to start this business you should work very hard to be successful in this business.

 

right now seo with social media is the fastest way to grow in page ranking on google, but i think u should also grow with good site content and products
