How to make a small forum ?

OK, the title is not appropriate. I know there are tons of open source scripts for creating a forum and personally I really liked SMF but I think all these are for very big boards. To me I want something like vanilla script. I am going to try it but just wanted others opinion like is there any other script for building small forums. I don't think so that I will even be getting 100 threads in a month so I don't want to make subforums. :)

I hope i am clear in what I am trying to do.

I would go with punbb ;) It is the best free script around and if you really need all what "big" ones have just go to punres.org

You can see my exaple at Optimizacija spletnih strani :D

I'll probably vote for vbulletin because most of the known webmaster used this. So it just means that its safe and easy to implement.

phpBB for a small board, I would suggest phpBB for a midsize board, vanilla, (400+kb download!) punbb and xennobb would do just fine.

I don't understand why people would suggest vBulletin, I prefer IPB because of its cleaner code, vBulletin's code is messy and hard to integrate with existing software.

    Just my $0.50
