I need three like to my account to create my own signature, But I was wondering how can I get it.
Is it by giving good reply?

I'm interested in the answer to the above question as well -.-. All I know is that we just post something useful? It's not like ppl will start liking or something right? Like for me, I don't even know how to like some interesting posts I come across on this site.

You're not able to "like" a post until you've become an established member; 3 already established members must like your post in order for you to qualify. Seems a little Catch-22, but there are some users who are considered "established" already. :)

In order to earn likes, you need to give quality replies & create quality threads. You'll earn it over time.

Oh yeah, it definitely will be. But in the long run that's better, because even though it wont completely filter out the garbage, it will really help to make the longstanding members of DP more... well, quality.

Yes, i completely agree with Sharpay... as this technique is the best way to collect good quality resources for DP although its time taking but it's good!!

Just give right suggestion on thread. Help other by giving them correct answer who can help them to achieve their goal. If your suggestion help other then they will like your post.

It's really hard to get some likes to be able to start a logo contest in https://forums.digitalpoint.com/forums/contests.94/ (that's why i registered here:D )

Naw, it's not really hard, it's really easy. Just relax, be yourself and express your opinions. And don't be afraid to use humor also as this does seem to work.
Another thing that could help is to start a thread and then comment on it. If members like your comments then you'll get your 3 likes soon.

It's kind of boring as the people give the same reply: reply with the right answer to the topic.

Ok, in that case, once the author liked the first answer that was good, he's not going to read the topic anymore, and the others will keep posting even though no one would read.
Therefore, if you're not the first one who posts the "right" answer, you might as well avoid posting in the thread..

You have to hunt threads to be between the first posters, in order to have a chance to be the ones with the good reply.. :)

Nope, you're 100% wrong. Debates get better as the thread progresses as do many of the answers.

Completely agreed with.. such type of projection is the best way to keep spammer away from inserting the erroneous information. Only well established & trusted members should be considered for quality results.

A good OP is a good host and ought to check in on his/her thread and comment from time to time. If they don't, then why even bother to post the thing in the first place?

I didn't wanted to post this, to not cause some drama but here we go:

Some of us need maybe only a service(e.g. i wanted to post a logo contest) but we're not able to do it without 3 posts.
Isn't it strange that i can BUY things from existing threads (as untrusted user) but not start own threads?

I tried to post some stuff in the php section to get some likes, but got 0 and i prefer to not spam around some useless stuff which gets MAYBE some likes.
In the end, i had to search for a alternative site, to post it:(

An alternative is badly needed for this "3 LIKES" system to post a thread in the buy/sell section and to have a signature. I certainly hope that Digital Point considers looking into this and making some changes. The new look, the trophies, the other things are fine but this LIKES system just doesn't seem to fit in.

So then instead of posting spam & useless stuff, try posting something helpful & useful!

    Wow. That was easy.

Be active on the forums and say useful things. Don't try too hard. It will happen.
