    If you want a community to build resources, make a facebook group, not a page. It has less stats, but allows people to interact much more effectively.

    This depends on what your aim is. If you want to drive traffic to your site as well as promote your site, then set up a Facebook page. As samaza mentioned, if you want more interaction and build a community, then set up a group.

    It also depends on activities you make on your Facebook or other social site profiles.
    So I would suggest connecting to relevant friends, increasing activities on your profile, sharing something which is useful to the society, would help a lot.

    According to me we can increase Good traffic from Facebook, Create a Interesting Facebook page with Like button and share interesting Post, you can share your Page on forum signature, e-mail, etc.
