Getting 'Likes' on DP.

Is it just me or is it really hard to get Likes on here? I've only 15 posts but I feel they are good content posts.

Anyone else think it's hard to come by 'Likes' here on the forums to become established?

Checked your postings - you are definitely on the right track. You already got 1 like, so only 2 more to go.

I think you'll have no problem getting them in the future, because you seem to put some effort into your posting (not like the slew of other people around these parts that keep complaining....)

 

If you give up this easily how will you ever make it in life? Don't you believe in at least putting up a fight?
It's not hard at all, I have seen *many* members receive 3 or more likes with just 1 post.

 

Haha, I never said anything about giving up. I think I'm doing alright with life so far.

I came to the site yesterday and was quite surprised about the "Like" standard that had been implemented. I still can't say I am overjoyed with it... after being a member for years and having to get re-qualified does irk me to a degree. However.... I voiced my opinion in an honest manner and tried to support it with my perception of what makes a member a contributor. I did get called a few names but I also ended up getting some likes. I think this forum and the likes will work out for you and others who pursue it. Putting some Honest effort in to get re-qualified is not what I want to do... however I will pay this price as DP has been a great tool for me in the past. Sometimes the things that are best are not necessarily what I like. Hang in there and I bet you get some likes soon!

It takes time to get the likes you are after. Keep posting good content.

 

It gets worse when you're stuck at 2 likes for the past 2 days.

 

try posting valuable information on DP and you will get likes.

Stop moaning about it and get on with posting and contributing to the forum in positive ways and I'm sure members will like some of your content when the effort is present.

 

Post such good stuff that people automagically get to like your posts. Post after considerable thought and effort.

 

yeah, I have been back here after a month and came to know DP has introduced the new strategy of what called as 'Likes'. its been hard to get noticed to get likes and enter the marketplace to sell websites, but however if digitalpoint can keep a simple ajax option available at every post to 'Like' with just a single click, it would be great. I'm still not sure, where I can get the Like option to appreciate good posts?

 

Once you receive 3 likes and are established, a *Like* button will appear on all your posts right next to where it says *Reply*.

I absolutely agree with you. I have been a member for a few years now. I have posted almost a hundred times and I usually post when I really have something to say. Mostly in the programming forums and have one pitiful like.

But I just learnt that to give likes you need to have received at least three likes. That's probably why I haven't been given many likes. Because I have been mostly talking to people who can't give any - people like you. Ironic a, lol
