I'm planning to build landing pages and promote cpa incentive offers using free gifts.

What web hosting do you think I should use?

If it's for your business don't go with a free host, as CHWH-Admin already said.

A shared hosting plan is fine for the beginning and for most sites. Also don't believe in this 'unlimited/unmetered' deals. They are mostly bad quality and cause troubles.

I know. I'm planning on going for shared hosting plans but I just don't know which to start. I'm low on budget right now.

    about $40 - $ 60. I know, this is very little but that's all I got now.

I'm from Malaysia but I'll like to target US or AU traffics.

40$-60$ for shared hosting is a lot! You can get a VPS or even dedicated server for it.

Do you know what you need, regarding technical aspects (like how much disk space, traffic, etc.)?

It's not only for web hosting, the budget is for domains and the private registrations too which cuts it all up to about $20 - $40 for hostings.

I would like to have unlimited disk space. I won't be scaling up the traffic for now yet but will scale it up soon after making some profit.

Well, there are hoster who provide you with 'unlimited' disk space but it's often enough limited by things like max. run time of your scripts, max. CPU usage, etc.

For the beginning you could check out Hostgator (.com). They aren't the best but still okay for the start and their support is good.

    Yeap, I know that.

I was thinking on whether to start godaddy since I have the coupon codes which can cut down the price a whole lot.

    Which would you recommend ?

    Hello,

I just PM'ed you. Please check it.

As I said, I do want to suggest you to get managed hosting then just regular shared hosting.

Godaddy can be a real nightmare.

I suggest you to search in google the following term: "provider coupon". 'provider' need to be replaced with the name of the hoster for which you need a coupon. For example you search for "hostgator coupon". You will find a lot of coupons. The shared hosting market is overwhelmed by them.

    Replied to your pm. :)

And by far, the best offer goes to godaddy.

How do you define the best offer? The price isn't a good indicator for quality. And trust me when I say that it's not worth to have the lowest price because you pay it with the high price of troubles.

I agree with everyone, GoDaddy is only good for domain registration. In past couple of months, their performance is poor..

the price depends on package you get. also how many sites you want to host in a single account, how much space you need, how much bandwidth....there is a lot of things to consider. always check for good customer support when choosing web hosting.

I think hostgator or hosting hub is the best one for service and support.

Well, my advice is Fastnext.com, they are long-term hosting company with good reputation. If you are ready to give 40$-60$ so you can try VPS, which is much better than shared plans. By the way as I know now they offer new SSD VPS servers with test 7 days for free, for detailed information contact them via or directly via Online support, they are so helpful.

I do not recommend using godaddy for hosting. You said your budget for hosting is $20 - 40, check out HawkHost and HostMantis.
