When one door closes,

When one door closes, another opens; but we habitually look so long and so repentantly upon the closed door that we do not see the one that has opened for us.

Most people are not sure whether there is another door open when the only door they have is closed. If only there is an open door, then, they will definitely see it. The only way is to pray hard for God to open another door so that you can get out of your problem quickly.

 

"God helps those who help themselves". I much prefer to solve my own problems as I believe that "Thou shalt not tempt the lord thy God". I get myself into these messes, so ought to get myself out no?

 

Sounds like something said by Maria in The Sound of Music: "The Reverend Mother always says, 'when the Lord closes a door, somewhere he opens a window'."

There are always opportunities to seize, but they seldom come to those sat idly.

 

I agree with you. We need to see beyond the closed door

 

I agree with it but I would like to change one word in it. I believe that when one door closes, God opens hundred better doors for us. The only thing which is needed is to keep the faith on God and than on ourselves. There is famous saying that “Only in the darkness you can see the stars.” So whenever we feel that we have been stuck into problems we should think that God is planning better than before for us. When we have lost hope, we have lost everything. And when we think all is lost, when all is dire and bleak, there is always hope. Hope is a waking dream. I would say the best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. We should not wait for good things to happen to us. If we go out and make some good things happen, we will fill the world with hope, we will fill ourselves with hope. I believe in my God and than in myself so I always try to look beyond the closed door and I found it best because by this I never feel sad and disappointed.

 

When you are an open minded person, one door closes and automatically you will see many doors open. If you believe in a higher being and surrender your will to him/her... all the things will come to you...

There are always open doors but if you aren't conscious of them then they don't exist.

 

"God helps those who help themselves"...I like it and i also believe it . Happiness and Sorrowfulness are part of human life .So ,don't be upset you listen that "I do not fear the clouds,the sun behind her laugh".

Oh I'm usually always around. I check in to DP every once in awhile from work. We (coworkers and I) work from my home.
Was having an issue with a member ( last 2 days) on here whose overly direct style irritates me. But I no doubt irritate him as well ha*ha!

I will and the same to you. Don't worry about the DP Troll. He is jealous because even though you are new here you are well liked and respected, while he has been on here for years and *no one* likes or respects him at all. I'm sure you know who I'm referring to.

I am agree it happens with some people that they got jealous and I know that about whom you are talking. Of course we should close his door and let open the door of our friendship. Keep smiling.
