Remember the birthday of someone like Hitler must make us reflect about what are we doing with our children. He was very intelligent indeed, he was a very powerful leader. But he didn't find a way to share his ideas without destroy something. All of our children have the possibility to become great leaders, but under what conditions, information and believes? . Hatred is not a way, teach differences either...

I am not really in the habit of celebrating the birthdays of mass murderers.

My grandfather was one of the men who landed at Normandy, he lost many of his friends and had nightmares for the rest of his life. I cannot believe you would make a post celebrating this racist madman's birthday.

You're either stupid or a troll. Or both.

Do you think anyone has forgotten about who Hitler was and what he did?

(Where is the negative rep button when you need it?)

Ryan - I wish we did have a negative rep button, unfortunately I don't think reporting would do much as this is just someone's bad taste and poor ethics.

Browntwn, Ciamos, Ryan_uk : So, basically, what all of you are saying, is that remember something bad of the past is forbidden? if you can't see the past without hate, Hitler won. If you can't see it as a lesson, then all the tragedy was in vain. Because there is no way to erase pain with hatred. There is no way to fight hate with hate...
I'm not saying that I agree with his actions, what I am saying is if you are able to see the lesson behind that tragedy, and if you are able to change that scar's hate into inner commitment of not repeating his thoughts and actions...

Of course not, don't be obtuse. All of us are capable of remembering the horrors of World War II without needing to focus on Hitler's birthday. This thread, including your post, for some reason try direct attention to his birthday and/or implying that remembering his birthday is in any way associated with remembering history. It is not. His birthday is of no consequence and is merely the day he was born. It has no historical or other significance, except that it is celebrated by many of his supporters even today.

In other words, what the fuck does remembering his birthday have to do with anything other than his birthday?

No , i am not stupid. I like both person , the person who think positive and negative. Well Mr. Adolf is famous for his attitude.

If you don't have attitude, you can't live happy in this world. If he is really a bad person , why he got more than 1million votes when he is in prison.

His birthday is the beginning of a chain of events that ended in war...I'm talking about the whole process. If there hadn't been other events around him, the history would be different...

The fact that a lot of people voted for him didn't make him a better person. What it showed was his power to lead people to his philosophy. In other words he had the ability to make people believed that he was right...

You're stupid too, if you conclude that from what I or anyone else wrote. We must understand the past to stop it from happening again. That doesn't mean we celebrate a sick psychopath's birthday or give a damn when it was.

    Wrong, you are stupid.

You need to research more how he came into power. (The social conditions and his manipulation of the situation.)

How? if people get into anger mode before look at it????? how? just reading books??? how? just because someone told me to 'hate' that? that's the way you stop the past happen again?

thinking what happened to this person to take him to that extreme is not important to you...realize under what conditions he was born is not important to you. But unfortunately, history has shown that every single event in the process are very important.
I'm not saying let's have a party...what I'm saying look at that case how it ended. History happens to all of us. It is not something far away...we make history...It means we are making a chain of events for good or for bad, is up to us.

Sometimes I wish there was another button with the text "Die!".

There are users who give bad advices without thinking about the issue and they really piss me off.

There are members who do this on purpose because they want to get there signature link seen in the thread.

Hitler was a bad man with bad vision's and imagine if he was never killed or stopped. The world may be way different right now. (MAINLY LESS PEOPLE ALIVE)

I'm stepping out of this thread as I have some very mean things to say about Hitler and everything he stood for and did. Not enough time for me to write a long rant. I need to get work done and pay the bills. lol

On a technical point, Hitler was not killed but committed suicide.
