Oh boy - a "angry birds" clone in form of a "board game"

I could be wrong, but your idea is so similar, that you could get sued...

Well its not going to be a board game.

But your right, there is possible lawsuits but the owner of angry birds doesn't care.

There is already created board game based on Angry Birds and has license. In some smaller scale than yours. Your idea may be hard to achieve, and without the license you have additional problems. But good luck.

Never done one myself but I suggest one thing. Don't make it sound like you're "begging". And don't make it sound like you're just using people for money. Let your fans/subscribers know that they mean a lot to you. Good luck!

I've seen your site. It looks pretty nice to be your first project. Haters will always hate, so don't worry you are not ought to get sued. Anyway, it is a bit unclear once you land on your site what the whole hype is about, you might want to disclose it there a bit more (the video, right on the front page). Make it more illustrative, I could give you more tips from the marketing stand point.

Don't worry so much about the outcome of the project for now (in the short-term), it's always an experiment at first :)

    Good luck all the way!

Thanks for being the most useful person on this forum
Yeah I understand what you mean... I was trying to edit a video on the front but was having a hard time doing :/

    My marketing strategy was
back links > social networks > web 2.0 > landing pages > main website

main website being connected to the social network, landing pages, and articles.

It's nice :) I saw the video now. That definitely goes in the front page. Also, the links to kickstarter don't work, at least, I wasn't able to get there from your site.

Also get something to keep track of your social media (some analytics) or so.

    Where are you located?

Not going after Chinese infringers is not really the same as saying everyone gets a pass. Usually it is not worth the time or money to go after infringement in China. I would take it a bit more seriously if you are planning to operate in the US or other markets where intellectual property is usually protected.

I have some other thoughts on the product itself, but will keep those to myself. Good luck!

I've helped out on a few successful Kickstarter campaigns. Here are a few useful notes on raising cash:

    - Momentum comes from your personal network
    - Show you have experience in getting orders out on time
    - Have a professional headshot (don't use your mobile phone camera)
    - Have a biography directed towards what you are doing now
    - Connect with bloggers and influencers - be personal
    - Build a media list
    - Tell a good story about your product - make it interesting and entertaining
    - Have a press packet
    - Projects that raise millions of dollars spend tens of thousands of dollars on P.R.
    - Rule of thumb is you make $100 for every $1 you spend on P.R.
    - If you sound cheap, you will fail (Golden Rule)
    - Give people a reason to link to you - don't beg
    - When making or renewing a connections, let them know what's in it for them
    - Go to trade shows
    - When connecting with journalists, tell them something their readers will want to read or they will throw you over to Advertising

Remember, the people you reach out to know you want to make tens of thousands of dollars, so don't sound cheap or they'll quickly get insulted. Famous example from the LinkedIn Kickstarter group, guy with a target of $20,000 asked a popular blogger for a story, blogger asked for $100 and the kickstarter stupidly said he couldn't afford it. Blogger and his network slammed the kickstarter and the campaign failed.
