Dropshipping Directories?

Discussion in 'General Business' started by pr0xy122, Dec 3, 2006.

I am new to dropshipping and just want to find more information on it. does anyone know any good dropshipping directories. I was thinking of using "The Shipper" however am not sure. I need a directory where the companies are verified and are definently not scammers because I do not want to take any risks.

    cheers.

Sounds like you need to head over to http://www.worldwidebrands.com and purchase their dropship directory list. If anything, go read their free ebook on dropshipping.

Yes, worldwidebrands.com filters suppliers and they are legit. Youll more than likely have to form a LLC or a DBA, Tax ID, and possibly a resellers license if you are in the USA.

Do keep in mind that once you buy their directory you are bound not to talk or blog about it.

The companies that dont require to be licensed are the ones that have questionable business practices and tend to have less than sub-par services. What types of products were you thinking on drop shipping?

For a SOLID store, Id say $5k (not including your time). You might be able to get away with $3k, but $5k should be pretty good. Just remember that drop shipping products is HIGHLY competitive (especially for electronics) and generally has low markup.

Not too bad, although the competition is getting high.

Low markup means you need a crap load of volume... sounds like fun... :)

Exactly. High volume and repeat customers is almost a must.

I hope you realize that nobody is going to give you a list of the directories they use because then it would just increase their competition. That's why they're so hard to come about - because they only work with a limited number of retailers.
