    Alexa show the traffic rank of a website.
    For example twitter is the 17. most visited website in the world. It has an alexa rank of 17.
    Your site has a alexa rank of 421,781, so you have the 421,781. most visited website in the world.

    So 421,780 websites have more traffic than your site.

    Correction - It is the 17. most visited website in the world according to alexa, which is NOT accurate



    Alexa only counts traffic when the client has the alexa toolbar installed (and it can be easily exploited). Don't waste your time with alexa - nobody else, that knows what he's doing does...

    Don't bother yourself with Alexa ranking.. I just avoid watching Alexa all the time.. Last time I checked Alexa rank of any of my sites was in January..

    Don't worry about Alexa ranking, one of my site is doing great according to analytic but when i checked Alexa rank it's not good enough. So, don't waste your time worrying about Alexa ranking.

    It basically means that you're the 421,781th busiest website on the internet. Facebook is ranked 1 which means that they're the busiest site on the net. Your Alexa ranking isn't bad at all. How much traffic do you get each month? I'm guessing about 1,000 or 2,000 visitors.

    That's the general theory behind it. It doesn't necessarily mean that it's accurate. However, most pollsters are pretty accurate without having to poll every single person. The same thing goes with Alexa. You can track a percentage of all internet users and still come up with a good estimate of what the busiest websites are.

    What it means is Alexa isn't accurate, you saying his site is the 421,781th busiest website on the internet is just plain wrong no matter how you dress it up or argue about it.
    The only people with the alexa toolbar installed are the third world spamtards and general idiots who have some misguided belief it actually means something.

    Yeah, Alexa is "awesome" as it lets you know the most visited sites by spammers.

    I hope every single one of my sites has a terrible AlexaStank as I don't want any of those spamtards visiting it.
