    Good day Digitalpoint intellectuals
Just thought I'd clarify my Digitalpoint profile. In the remote chance that you might have come across my profile, you may have asked yourself "where is Macapá?". Macapá is a small Amazonian city in the state of Amapá in Brazil. I live here because this is the best vantage point to collect my raw data regarding Brazil, its environment and the language of the locals. I also live here with my Brazilian wife whom I met here on this "information super highway" we call the internet.

Did you speak any Portuguese before you moved there?

I don't think I'd sacrifice my marriage for a career, neither would I live in a tent for it. But I wouldn't mind living somewhere abroad if I was happy with what I do and a small reduction in salary wouldn't bother me much.

Have you been feeling that you've been asked to sacrifice too much for too little?

Brazil is such an enigma as a country to me. All I know about it is Samba (although I think it's more Argentinian) and that they have great soccer players like Cristiano Ronaldo. What do you enjoy most about Brazil?

I think Cristiano Ronaldo is actually Portugese...I think you're referring toRonaldo Luis Nazario de Lima.
I do like the fact the Brazilians gave their name to a style of pubic hair..

My bad. Ronaldo is Portugese. Another Brazilian comes to mind is Pele. But he was playing like 40 years ago, I think.

Umm, let's see, the thing I like most about Brazil? ... my wife, actually, there really is a lot to like here, such as, the many many varieties of fruits, agua de côco as they call it - which is coconut water. The weather is very tropical, people are friendly (and thank God finally waking up to the coruption & injustices of the goverment) and speaking of soccer, Brazil just won the 2013 Confederates Cup championship against Spain, which really is a prelude to the 2014 World Cup. And this Samba busines, every Brazilian woman knows how to dance the Samba, part of the culture.
