What software to install on my new laptop?

I just bought a Sony Vaio laptop with Windows 8 installed.
I wonder if you can advice what software to install on my new laptop. I want something very new and also functional.
For the following activitieS

1. Watch movies downloaded from the internet
2. Write books for transforming them in e books after
3. Build an E Commerce Shop, dealing with templates and e book covers
4. E mail, nice animation and templates, modern
5. Newsletters conceiving and sending, managing data basis for seding these e mails
6. Making Power Point presentations
7. Internet a lot

In addition the the above post, if you don't already have an antivirus - Comodo Free Antivirus is a great free antivirus.

 

Microsoft Security Essentials is good enough, never pay for antivirus, and especially not any of those bloatware anti-virus programs.

Trust me it's not. As a person who has experience with malware creation and detection, i can tell you that MSE is terrible.

 

For people with a reasonable smidge of common sense, MSE is enough.

 

For ebooks writing a software please?

You can write an ebook in openoffice and save it as a PDF for distribution.
if you need it in a epub or similar format you can use Calibre to convert it

 

Did you write that software? Pretty impressive.

Two excellent softwares Are Microsoft Office As it has a word processor to write your books , An excell program to Design invoice forms and set up your account ing system, Point point program to make you presentation slides Thoose are the basic programs depending on the Level you buy there are many other helpful programs included.

The other excellent program is Adobe photoshop - this is ideal to make your banners headers and any other grapics you wish to use . (asan added bonus You can use it to touch up your pictures that you take)
