Recently there has been a post on WF (Warrior Forum), you can find it below as well as some screenshots I attached.

Some things mentioned about DP, i have to agree. Been here since 2006.
Rather than that I have 0 comments about this.

All I have to say is Shawn has built a great community here and has ever been so supportive.

If only Shawn charged $10-20 per sign up, things would have been different.

Not sure what the point of this thread is, certainly don't see a "feud"...

Sounds to me like people just not wanting to use the protections we have in place.

Sellers can choose to deal with only users in specific countries, specific users, etc. https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/optional-restrictions-on-sales.2680798/

It's also not terribly hard to find sites for sale with specific criteria (like PageRank). If someone doesn't want to look at the ones for sale, of *course* they are going to end up with scammers, because it's the people who can't even verify ownership of the domains (since they couldn't list them to begin with... haha)

For example, sites for sale with PageRank 4 or higher: https://marketplace.digitalpoint.com/sites?pagerank=4&verified=1

There's a lot of false claims in that thread. Like the guy claiming where the last 10 clicks from his ad campaign were from. He claimed:
    - Spain
    - Namibia
    - Malaysia
    - Iraq
    - Iraq
    - Estonia
    - India
    - Canada
    - Ukraine
    - Hungary
    Code (markup):
Forgetting about the time being between 4-5am in the US, obviously there will be less US traffic at that time, but even so... the last 10 clicks at that time were from:
    - Spain
    - Namibia
    - Malaysia
    - United States
    - Netherlands
    - Iraq
    - Australia
    - India
    - United States
    - Germany
    - United States
    - United States
    Code (markup):

So far I love it here, but as a new user I didnt go much into the marketplace, but where I have been I can say that people didnt scam me :)
The risk of getting scammed is so big on the internet no matter where you go.

Exactly. And DP is a bit more diverse than WF. WF tends to be snakeoil salesmen trying to sell snakeoil to each other.

I can't see the point in charging for DP. The stuff Shawn has already put in place has worked well to improve the forum.

LOL scammers are everywhere, you have to take safety precautions.. i think a PR7 domain cant be available in $30 or $50 if PR is real :p and you cant get 100% human traffic in $1/K, everyone will send you bot, automated traffic real traffic is very costly. so just keep your mind clean between "Quantity" and "Quality"

Scammers are everywhere, it just so happens digitalpoint is more accessible by these people compared to WF. Both communities are huge and even a small percentage of scammers would mean quite a number of scammers. The key is to just stay smart, always perform background checks and research before buying anything (or selling in some cases), and if it's too good to be true then it probably is!

The net is full of scammers. Not sure what that has to do with DP.

I have just been scammed by someone buying articles from me but I don't think that it is a question of where you advertise. You generally have to be careful in the internet.

Not big a deal for me. You can see scammers everywhere.

Charging on DP would decrease number of visitors dramatically which admin of the forum doesn't want. Warrior Forum was on the Internet much longer, they do have much more activity then Digital Point, but they just created the system where you have to pay to promote your product (WSO- Warrior Special Offer). In DP, you have to earn that on different way.
I think that Digital Point system is better only because Marketplace is forbiden for stupid users.

Probably in terms of traffic, DP is getting better every day while WF stagnates for quite long. I've been on Warrior Forum much longer then here and I'm not a judge but I noticed that much more quality threads every day come on Warrior forum then here. For example when I post a thread on WF, day after that it is already listed on the page 2 or 3 and it have lot of quality responses. When I post on DP the same thread, two days after it is still not only on page 1 it is also on the top of the page and have only few responses and most of them are spam.
Maybe it is because Digital Point have much more sections so all threads has been divided in much more categories or it is just subjective feeling but I find WF more quality with a better activity.

Well SHAWN, I think that thread was started on WF so that he could bring traffic to his (SEO) signature...

I mean, why not bash the advertising platform DP has to offer over on the WF so that you can offer your own SEO services.... ;)

Otherwise, that thread makes me want to try out what DP has to offer in terms of PPC.

    DP is money!

I won't buy anything on the WF anymore. On that forum criticism doesn't seem to be allowed in sales threads. In every thread there will only be positive reviews, "Wow, this is a game-changer!"..."I'm so thrilled, my life is now complete since I found your product."...."Incredible stuff, man!"..."This is even better than sliced bread!" The whole forum is like some big infomercial. Then you buy the product to find it is absolute crap.

I don't know why but reading your post always make me smile.:D

About advertising, Visitors may decide not to buy the product/services but they may share it on their favorite social networks (if the landing pages were designed specially for that function. I call it 'second/natural advertising'). Basically it is like We Pay for advertising (to get sales/conversion) and also make other to advertise it (via social network) naturally.
The first advertising my fail (have zero conversion) but the second advertising (products/services which are shared in social network by visitors) may result in better conversion. I am not good in advertising so I would not going to continue discuss about it. :)

The point is, I would not blame on the third party who provide advertising if the ads were having zero conversion. The best thing to do is make very good landing pages and convince visitors to share it in their social networks.

LOL, this, 10 times over. Why anyone falls for the god awful, cheap suit sales pitches littered on WF these days is beyond me.

Do they still charge you upon registration? I wanted to sign up a few months ago, but when I saw that I'd be charged (I think it was $45, I think), I said "Thanks, but no thanks..." I am sure I could push our classifieds there, but I am not willing to pay for it. I can find other paid advertising options, if I need to, which are more effective.

I like it better here cause there are a ton of garbage being sold in WF, but it is still a great place too

Both are great and I won't trade one for the other
