How do you think Microsoft will react going forward to Apple's move of making their iOS upgrade to Maverick FREE?

and for the record...Apple fan girl over here :)

    Microsoft vs. Apple War
Customer should win. The more the competition arises, we will get more facilities.
Even one day, both OS will be completely free.

I prefer Apple (OSX) over Windows any day of the week. It just works plain and simple.

Amen. Haven't regretted my switch over to Macs three years ago, and even less now when they start to provide the software free-of-cost. Although I still do have W7 installed for occasional gaming, luckily many of the games that I play are released on OSX as well.

Well one of the big games I "liked" to play isn't out for Mac so I guess I won't be playing it. I know Macs cost more but they also last a lot longer than Windows based machines do.

I have to say I love windows. IMO windows systems is like android as it is much easier to upgrade and control yourself as mac's always seemed to be more limited on what it can do and what it is for. I do not know if that is still the case. Anyways I love my pc :)

It's funny that you say that because I have both a Mac and a PC, and I find my PC very frustrating to update, or install stuff. Although there are limitations on Macs (such as installing certain video games that dont run well - if at all on a Mac), I find the overall user friendly experience quite refreshing! :)

I totally agree. When I first updated to Windows 8 I couldn't even do Windows Update without it screwing my computer up. I would have to hard reset it 2-3 times before it would finally install the updates. OSX is just plain easy and the App Store automatically lets you know when there is an update. The locked down environment in OSX is why I believe there is not really any danger of viruses and such like there is with Windows. Just my 2 cents though.

But have you tried upgrading your macbook? the older versions was very limited as laptops for pc can have a few more upgradable parts. also I like games alot when I am not working.

Hence the wording "I play", it's a personal opinion. And how long a piece of electronics lasts isn't decided by the prica tag on it; even Macs die in first few days of use, or are DOA. Could even say that back in the days my Asus lasted longer than my Macbook, given that the Macbooks plastic casing started to crumble, while with the Asus I had no such problems at all...

I haven't had any problems with my windows machines for many years.
Never had any overpriced apple products and have no intention to ever get any.
